I had a super day out yesterday at Doncaster with the guys from the Ontoawinner syndicate (Ailsa Craig pictured above) and what great bunch of friendly people they are. If you’re looking into getting involved in a racing syndicate for the first time I would certainly recommend these guys- thoroughly enthusiastic people, no edge to them, and real horse lovers. On the punting front here on the blog it was a super day for the opening day of the flat season which bodes well for the rest of it…..I hope! 😉 The Cheka (N Callan, 12-1 ) & Zafranagar (George Downing, 10-1 ) made the winners circle and Follow The Flag (Nora Looby, 12-1 ) followed the latter home for a £143.10 Exacta return. Places for Lincoln runner up (grrr!) Mull Of Killough (S W Kelly, 10-1 ) & Mcbirney (N Callan, 13-2) added a little bit of extra icing to the cake (or cream to the Victoria sponge).
I know some of you chart my progress (or lack of it) in those National Monthly Leagues I participate in. Well March was a double success with 7th place in the RUK event and 8th place in the Betdaq sponsored one. All down in the main to a fairly successful Cheltenham.
