Why is OLBG’s Sponsorship important?
Trainers, Breeders, fans and other stakeholders in the sport have all spoken of the benefits that OLBG’s long term sponsorship has brought to the Mares programs development in the sport.
Trainer Willie Mullins has a long association of success with the series. He famously won the grade one race at Cheltenham six times with Quevega and has also been successful in OLBG sponsored races at Warwick, Doncaster and Ascot with many talented mares. He gave this comment on last years Festival winner Benie Des Dieux “I would like to think she could go back and try to win the OLBG Mares grade one race again at the Cheltenham Festival in March.” He also touched on Limini who finished third in the Festival race back in 2017 “She is a top quality mare and would have credentials to go down the same route once again.”
Sam Boswell Racing Product Manager for OLBG outlined why being involved in the sport was so important for OLBG and it’s members
“Many within our community are massive fans of the sport so being able to support National Hunt Racing whilst giving our users the chance to get really close to the action has been a lot of fun. Our top tipsters get tickets to the meetings and many have experienced money can’t buy opportunities such as getting close to connections in the parade ring when helping to choose the best turned out or being involved in the trophy presentation.”
With the chance of picking up great prize money and black type it is no wonder the series is so popular. OLBG look forward to another great season and hope as to see as many runners as possible involved in the series once again.
