It was great to see Katie Walsh winning the Irish Grand National aboard Thunder And Roses yesterday, but it was also sad to see that the excellent Hunter, Tammy’s Hill was a fatality.

Galway Festival (Day 1) (& Uttoxeter)

How’s your liver? Can it stand seven days of jumps racing in Ireland? If you’re attending the Festival all week then fair play to you. You’ve either got the constitution of an ox or very deep pockets 😀

Katie on the board today?

Be lucky today! 😉

Cheltenham naps (Thurs)

What a wonderful spectacle the first race was yesterday at Cheltenham. Even though I was on the runner up, I had a tear in my eye for how much the win meant to Katie Walsh. To have a Cheltenham win was the pinnacle of this racing girls life-a truly moving moment at this historic meeting.

My tips weren’t all doom and gloom as I landed the Weapons Amnesty bet which paid for the day. Here’s looking for some crumbs again today on what is becoming a pretty tricky meeting for picking winners-a bloodbath some are calling it. I usually pride myself on coming pretty close or winning the Placepot on one of the four days. Thus far I’ve been blown out of the water! 😀

1.30 Chelt- Hey Big Spender & Jered (e/w).

2.05 Chelt- Don’t Push It, Kayf Aramis & College Daisy (e/w).

2.40 Chelt- Schindler’s Hunt (e/w).

3.20 Chelt- Powerstation & Fair Along (e/w).

4.00 Chelt- Private Be & The Sawyer (e/w).

4.40 Chelt- Ma Yahab, Lysander & Oodachee (e/w).

The Walsh Dynasty

Have a good ladies day 😉

P.S -Good luck to all the ladies in the Charity Race @ 5.15pm and especially to Elaine Curran on Intersky Emerald. She’s worth a small eachway in my eyes. Emerald has been scooting around Aintree like a good ‘un.
