An Aintree Festival winner last year, Party Business hasn’t quite hit those heights again but the spring is obviously his time and he can make his presence felt in this 0-150 handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter today.
We last saw the Ian Williams-trained seven-year-old running down the field in a Pertemps qualifier and connections were disappointed he didn’t make the top four that day. The gelding has had a month off though and should come back all guns blazing and at 12/1 he has to be of an each-way interest.
3.00 Uttox- Bushypark & Notachance (e/w).
The highlight of Cheltenham week for many grass root NH fans is the Midlands Grand National on the Saturday, and top honours this year can go the way of Phil Kirby’s Bushypark.
After a long spell in the doldrums and a period of time when he looked like he might be leaving the yard, Bushypark has suddenly found his mojo again and just keeps on galloping and galloping to the line.
He initially showed us his old self on Jan 7th when he ran an absolute stormer in a 3 mile hurdle at odds of 50/1 at Newcastle. Just five days later he turned out again to lead from pillar to post in the 3m6f North Yorkshire National at Catterick.
At odds of 16/1 on Saturday, the nine-year-old must be worth an each-way flutter for sure.
