Navan (Troytown Chase 2021) 🇮🇪

Today’s Navan fancies:

12.50 Navan – Dixie Flyer (win).

1.20 Navan- Hans Gruber (e/w).

1.50 Navan – Hollow Games (NAP)

Albert Bartlett hope Hollow Games can continue his winning streak by taking this Grade 3 Monksfield Novice Hurdle.

Trained by Gordon Elliott, the five-year-old has been hoof perfect thus far in his races, and although the competition here is a little bit stiffer than in his previous outings, he looks well rounded enough to oblige once more.

At odds of 8/11 in our horse racing betting, Hollow Games is our 888Sport NAP of the day.

2.20 Navan – Fiveaftermidnight (E/W) (NR)

The Philip Rothwell-trained Fiveaftermidnight can make his Navan experience count and is a live contender in this 81-130 handicap hurdle.

Racing off just 10st 5lb, with a 7lb claimer on his back, the eight-year-old is carrying no weight at all which adds further credence to his each-way appeal.

At the top of the handicap, both Jimmy Jimmy and Fissa are the obvious dangers to our selection.

2.50 Navan – Definite Plan (E/W)

Another competitive Troytown Handicap and this year it can go the way of Gordon Elliott again with his Definite Plan.

The nine-year-old recently picked up the 888Sport What’s Your Thinking Handicap Chase at Cheltenham’s October meeting, and if he runs up to that level again then he has to be in with a solid shout on Sunday. He’s currently trading at around 8/1 in our online betting if you fancy taking the plunge.

Gordon Elliott has several runners with big chances in this Navan feature and it would come as no surprise if he lands the 1-2-3. Elliott won this race on four consecutive occasions from 2014 to 2017.

3.20 Navan – Kapard (WIN)

Henry De Bromhead’s useful mare Kapard makes the switch to the larger obstacles this weekend and she looks like a horse to catch fresh.

Grand National-winning jockey Rachael Blackmore takes the ride which will give punters added confidence about taking the victory, and on paper she looks like she only has Mt Leinster to beat.

The grey mare has been schooling well at home so it’s all systems go for her seasonal return.

3.50 Navan – Nos Na Gaoithe (e/w).
