Well Doncaster turned into a fabulous couple of days with an 18/1 winner on Friday (Zalvados) and Takingrisks (40/1) doing it for the veterans, and my online wallet @ 54/1, on Saturday. Sprinkle in the other smaller priced winners, a placepot return, a Colossus share, and it was essentially all I could ask for from this “racing at home” situation. One must stay grounded though as long term punting is all about riding out the peaks as well as the troughs. It’s also one up for all the forgotten media sources/personnel that struggle to be seen through all the current white noise one now finds on all the social media platforms, “Hey there, we’re still alive, still here and doing a great job and we won’t be doing a podcast anytime soon”. 😀
