I’d just like to reach out to blog readers today who I know are struggling to various degrees (mentally, financially etc) with these lockdown restrictions. Today is yet another hard miss to stomach as Betfair Chase Day always attracts a decent crowd and is always attended by your absolute hardcore NH fans/supporters. It is also another fixture where like-minded individuals meet and rejoice as a collective which sadly won’t happen today. It’s just another fixture on a long list of disappointments for many.
If you know somebody who you regularly meet up with at the races but you haven’t seen or heard from in a while, then try if you are able to reach out to them today. They too will be hurting inside just as much as you are today.
News this week gives us some light at the end of a very long tunnel, so lets also rejoice in the fact that we will be standing together as friends on a racecourse sooner than you think.
