It really was the image that encapsulated Day One of Royal Ascot 2020 wasn’t it? Bob Grace’s beaming smile was not only for himself and his personal affinity with his graceful friend Battaash, but for ALL the lads and lasses out there who care and tend for racing’s equine performers. It was a beautiful moment that touched many people I feel.
On a personal punting note I was happy to end the day with a nice little tickle on Coeur De Lion (16/1 & 24.25 Tote). As soon as the afternoon showers arrived at Ascot I was in my element knowing that his chances had greatly improved. Congratulations to Alan King, The Barbury Boys and Thore Hammer Hansen. It really was a case of Hammer Time!!!
