Galway Plate 2017

Rachael Blackmore can serve it up to the boys this afternoon on the lightly weighted eight-year-old Bentelimar (5.35pm Galway ATR/RTE).

The gelding who is out of Beneficial jumps well and has warmed up for this with a victory and a third place at Wexford.

J.R Barry’s runner is certainly one for the each-way shrewdies taking a morning price.

British raider Ballyboley is a generous each-way price for the race too.

I’m always a fan of solid Haydock form as it always appears to translate well elsewhere and Ballyboley was a nice winner of the “Challenger Middle Distance Chase Series Final Handicap Chase” at Haydock back in April, beating some useful sorts.

Simon Munir reported that the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained eight-year-old worked well last Saturday and a big run is expected.

Odds of 20/1 shouldn’t be sniffed at I feel.
