Killarney (Tues Evening)

Tom Scudamore

There was a major upset in the opening At The Races Virgin 534 Novices’ Hurdle, as red-hot 30-100 favourite Supreme Present, a winner of her last four races, was headed before the second-last flight and could find nothing extra as the finish was fought out by hurdles debutants Collodi and My Direction.

The German-bred victor, Collodi (8/1), who had won over a mile at Windsor for Lambourn trainer Roger Curtis, has only been in the care of his current handler David Bridgwater for a week. He was always travelling well on the inside in the hands of Tom Scudamore, and could make into a useful recruit to the jumping game. (from the Western Morning News).

Another winner for the blog was Porter’s War (Nick Scholfield, 7/1) who just nabbed the idling Falcarragh by a head at the line.

Today’s Killarney fancies:

6.00 Kill- Intense Debate (win).

6.30 Kill- Stay De Night (win).

7.00 Kill- Gold Focus (e/w).

7.30 Kill- El Salvador (win).

8.00 Kill- Klepht & Boxer Beat (e/w).

8.30 Kill- The Lady Granuaile & Prosperity Square (e/w).

9.00 Kill- Cailin Annamh (e/w).

Doin’ the boxer beat! 😉
