I’m back on the road again tomorrow with a trip out to Wetherby for the Charlie Hall meeting courtesy of OLBG.  Unfortunately my trip won’t be in the vehicle above but instead on a couple of trains and a bus. It will be an 8.01 am start for a 20.00 pm finish but will be thoroughly worth it.

Worcester (Wednesday)

Worrying times at Mulldog Towers this week as I’m beginning to detect the early signs of a hard drive failure on the mothership. I’m now scrambling around backing things up. Thankfully I haven’t overloaded my PC this time around with items that will be heartbreaking to lose so fingers crossed this should all pass off with ease. Famous last words!

Aintree (Old Roan Meeting) Saturday

I will be like a pig in muck on Saturday when I return to my beloved Aintree for the two day Old Roan meeting. It’s really sad that’s it’s going to be the last one in it’s current format but times change and so do the decision makers so who am I to argue?

Lots of Twitter folks appear to be heading in the direction of Merseyside on Saturday so it will be nice to meet up with some of the new faces as well as the old stalwarts. Perhaps Twitter name stickers should be made compulsory to identify people? All that distinguishes me is my bald head!

Fakenham (Friday)

It’s the eve of the Old Roan Aintree meeting and it was nice to get a good winner on the board  yesterday at Carlisle with Incentivise (Mr M G Nolan, 10/1) for the Richard Lee stable.
