Firstly, many thanks on helping me reach this blogging milestone overnight. I believe I started this blog around late September 2009 so I’m pretty chuffed with the statistics overall. Here’s to the next 100,000
Back to yesterday’s experiment and the results were quite interesting for the marathon punting session. In total there were 76 selections and based on a 2pt win and 1pt e/w staking plan the total staked over the 55 races was 152 points. Out of the 55 races, 30 races yielded a return of some definition (with one N/R thrown in). The total return on the day was 137.33 points based on industry S.P.
At first glance one would interpret the results as 15 points down on the day. However, as you know I do not place bets with the conventional online bookmakers but only with the Exchanges and my overall return on Betfair was 163 points on the day (+11 points).
So my general analysis on the experiment? Concentrate on a handful of races or just one meeting per day and don’t bet on meetings you know nothing about form wise Eg: Ballinrobe for me last night. And for fancies you like 10/1 +, ALWAYS use the exchanges for greater pre-race odds in the main.
Today’s fancies are at Ffos Llas:
5.40 Ffos- Stonethrower (win).
6.10 Ffos- I’m The Decider (win).
6.45 Ffos- Victory Parade (win).
7.15 Ffos- King Brex & Street Dance (e/w).
7.50 Ffos- Quattrocentro (win).
8.20 Ffos- Gulf President & Walls Way (e/w).
8.50 Ffos- Kanturk & Nemi (e/w).
May your day be boom filled!
